Korcula Sword Dance

 

Korcula is famous for it’s Sword Dance, a must see show for all visiting the Island.

Dating back to the 17th century the performance witnesses two groups clashing their swords in a tense dance-off, with seven battles being fought to free the Turkish King’s Bula, a female abducted by the Moorish king.

Powerful music and quick footed dancing engrosses viewers as they witness the sword battles by male locals in this awe-inspiring choreography, make the Korcula Sword Dance a show not to be missed!
