Sailing holidays are for all kinds of people: from solo travellers who want the company of others while they explore the country; couples; friends and families.
Our sailing holidays are specifically geared to those who are keen to learn new water sport activities and explore the diverse landscape.
Due to the close proximity of the living quarters and the amount of time onboard each day they are not suitable for people who crave isolation and do not want to socialise with others.
We recommend children be over the age of 12, however, all ages are welcome, and we can adapt the itinerary to take the children’s ages into account when children are onboard.
The reason for our recommended age is due to the close living quarters, and the fact that on deck there are various obstacles to be aware of, such as ropes, beams and other sailing equipment.
The skipper is very flexible though and will point out all hazards and provide a briefing of etiquette prior to sailing.
If you have any further queries please contact us to assist.
We have two yachts available – click here for more information.
We pride ourselves on our flexibility and while in general, the majority of our groups are from 5 up to 10 people plus the skipper, We also have the option of hiring a small yacht for your exclusive use if your group is less than 5 ( plus the skipper), please contact us if you wish to take this option.
If your group size is larger than this we would be able to hire another yacht plus skipper, however, the cost for the additional skipper on the extra boat is an additional 1000 euros for the week, plus the cost of the extra yacht.
The two boats would sail alongside each other and stay in the same location each evening.
If your group does not take up all the berths, then they will be opened up for other guests to join.
We welcome solo travellers and couples / two friends and would place on a yacht with spare berths. We also have the option of hiring a small yacht for your exclusive use (plus the skipper), please contact us if you wish to take this option.
Absolutely, in fact, if you are filling the yacht with your own group then you will notice in our pricing that you get a huge discount off the price of the cruise ( rather than booking each berth individually)*
If you are booking a group holiday but have not yet agreed on guest invites, then we recommend you book the yacht and date and we will hold for you for two weeks to enable you to get all guests confirmed.
This is unless there are less than 8 weeks to go before the holiday date, in which case we will need all the names and payment for the booking.
After the initial two weeks then provided you have confirmed names on the booking form you will have a choice to pay for the deposit for the exclusive use of the yacht for yourself or we can open the berths left for others to join your group.
Generally we sail for between 2 -5 hours a day with plenty of stops for relaxing in secluded bays, swimming in the seas or exploring areas of interest.
The cabins open out to a kitchen galley and living area, where there is a fridge, and basic cooking appliances, including a hob for you to make breakfast and lunches. There is also at least one bathroom.
You will also receive a basic package on the yacht – this consists of the cost of final cleaning, 1 bedlinen & 2 towels (per person on crew list), 2 kitchen towels, 2 cooking gas, 1 dish liquid + 1 sponge, 1 small soap + 1 WC paper/toilet). This is not optional and is included in the price.
Please see the yacht page for more information on what is onboard.
Yes.
Flights, taxi costs for transfers both at the airport and on islands, pre-tour and post-tour accommodation and excursions on the islands are all extra costs.
Your skipper will also collect kitty money from you as required.
The kitty money is to cover additional mooring fees that are required in marinas, local taxes and gasoline for when the yacht is unable to sail.
Food is also not included, and you should budget for breakfast and lunch or board and evening meals out at a local restaurant.
Your yacht comes with a basic package as detailed however if you want to have any extras on board then these are also additional to the price of the yacht.
You should budget for these as per the information below:
Moorings
The mooring costs are shared among the group.
Mooring buoys cost around 40 euros per night and offer peace and quiet away from other yachts.
Marinas have restaurants, shower and restroom facilities plus offer power and the chance to refill the water supplies and cost between 40 and 140 euros per night.
On some nights we can find a secluded bay to moor in overnight to offer an authentic sailing experience, as there are many natural shelters along the coast, which will keep the mooring expenses down.
Your holiday use a combination of these in the week depending on availability on arrival at the bays, and the group requests.
Gasoline
Sailing time is dependent on wind conditions and it is sometimes necessary to use the motor.
To give an indication of the cost when motoring, a typical yacht would use a maximum of 10 litres per hour, approximately 10 euros per hour of navigation.
While we aim to sail as much as possible you should be aware of this cost.
Food
We recommend budgeting 25 – 30 euros per person per week for breakfast and lunch. It is up to the group if you want to eat lunch on board the yacht, or in the many restaurants scattered along the coast.
Dinner will be dependent on the restaurants you choose and your choice of cuisine.
Onboard Extras
Sails:
Gennaker 150,00 EUR per week
Spinnaker 200,00 EUR per week

Shower towels 5,00 EUR per piece

Other: Outboard engine 80,00 EUR per week
Check in depending is 6 pm Saturday evening, however, if, your flight is late on Saturday evening then we can organise a 10 am Sunday check-in.
If you are going to arrive earlier at the marina then we can point you in the direction of the supermarket so you can purchase supplies ready to set sail at 6 pm.
Please do not arrive before 4 pm as the skipper will be busy carrying out final checks.
If you are early there is a small café overlooking the marina where you are welcome to purchase a drink and relax until you can board.
We will send joining instructions on receipt of final payment, prior to your arrival.
After meeting your skipper we will head to the small supermarket at the marina where you will be able to buy your initial food supplies for a few days. Further supplies can be purchased later in the week at supermarkets on the islands.
We aim to return to the marina by 5 pm Friday to allow us to clean the yacht for the following guests.
It is usual for our guests to buy the skippers meals for breakfast and lunch as well. In the evening you will be unattended unless you wish your skipper to join you, in which case please ask when on board.
Yes, in Split there is a small car park at the marina which is chargeable, and a free carpark just further up the road that you will pass before the marina.
In Dubrovnik, the marina has paid parking facilities.
No, the skipper and yacht are booked out in advance. Over the course of a week, there should be times when we can sail but if you are geneuinely on holiday just for the sailing experience we recommend booking earlier or later in the season when there is more chance of higher wind conditions.
We recommend packing in a soft shell bag which can be stored under the floorboards, therefore giving you more room in your berth.
If you are bringing children we recommend packing an inflatable lifejacket with tether for each child, and we can also put nets up around the yacht which can be organised at the time of booking. ( see extra costs above)
Pumps or walking sandals are favoured on board.
Linen and towels for on-board use are included, however, you will need to bring a beach towel for when you venture on to land.
Other than that we recommend general holiday wear.
On deck we, ask you to be respectful of other guests and not to smoke near others.
We also ask you to be respectful of the environment and not to throw cigarette butts or any other item of rubbish into the sea.
Your skipper will take you through our Heath, Safety and Environmental procedures when you board.
No, we do not provide pre or post trip accommodation. Both Split and Dubrovnik have a large selection of accommodation and it is up to our guests to pre-book this in advance of arrival. The majority of our guests like a few days in these towns as there is so much to see.
You may be able to leave luggage in your accommodation while sight seeing, if not then there are left luggage facilities as detailed below, where you can safely store your luggage.
In Split, the Railway and the Airport both have luggage storage facilities. Open 6 am until 9 pm at night. For more options click here
In Dubrovnik the Port, Railway Station and in the Old Town there are Luggage Storage facilities, allowing you to leave your luggage securely until you want to collect it. For details click here
