Here are some of the events you won’t want to miss out on if you are here on holiday in Korcula this summer!
Many other local events are announced shortly before the event, and we will be updating this page as soon as we hear about them, but here are the ones we know about so far.
Every Thursday starting in June – The Sword Dance – more information
Every Wednesday from 9pm – Lumbarda Folklore Evening – Lumbarda Square
Every Friday from 7pm –Ribarska Vecer – Lumbarda Fisherman’s Evening – Lumbarda Square
Saturday 20th June – Korcula Craft Beer Festival
Tuesday 23rd June – Sacral Music – Church of St Roch, Lumbarda
Friday 26th June – Ribarska Vecer – The start of the Friday night fishermans feast in the Lumbarda Square from 7pm. Enjoy the gastronomic delights, music and produce as locals cook up a feast!
Tuesday 30th June – Come and Dance the night away on the streets of Korcula, as the town comes alive to celebrate the Half New Year Carnival Festival. Fancy Dress Parade, and fireworks at midnight. This is an event not to be missed.
Saturday 11th July – All Day Event Hakuna Matata – Drums and Entertainment – Lumbarda Square
Saturday 12th July – 9pm Grk Wine Festival, Lumbarda – Sample the wine on your doorstep here in Lumbarda ‘ Home of the Grk’.
Saturday 18th July – 7pm Concert Open Jazz Festival – Korcula
Saturday 25th July – Take a day trip to Cara for the Lady of Cara field festival – Cultural Programme. Watch the Kumpanija (their traditional sword dance), Chain Dance and listen to the Crnomiri Brass Orchestra performance.
This day is the feast of St Jacob, the protector of Cara, and christians from all over the world travel here in celebration every year.

Tuesday 28th July – 9pm 4 Tenora Concert, Korcula
Friday and Saturday 7th and 8th August – Water Polo Championship – Korcula Baths
Sunday 9th August 9pm – Lumbarda Grk Wine Festival
Sunday 9th August – Day Event – Makarunada – Take a trip to Zrnovo for entertainment and gastro workshops of this Korcula delicacy Makaruni.
Wednesday 12th August – Abba Tribute Band – Plokata, Korcula
Tuesday 1st September to Friday 18th September – Korkyra Baroque Festival.
The biggest music festival on Korcula Island with a wide variety of musicians. Concerts held each night at various venues of architectural significance influence and cultural importance around Korcula. More information here
Thursday 3rd September – Harley Davidson Exhibition – watch the motorbikes roll into Lumbarda Village
Friday 4h September – Possible the last Fisherman’s Evening of the season in Lumbarda
Friday 11th September – Lumiart Festival of Light – Korcula Town ( for best view evening visit is better to see the illuminations)
